Southern Bank Foundation was formed in December of 1996 by Southern Bank and Trust Company. The primary purpose of Southern Bank Foundation is to make charitable gifts and to support not-for-profit community programs in areas of North Carolina served by Southern Bank and Trust company. In this regard, Southern Bank Foundation supports a large number and variety of charities annually. Through the formation and funding of Southern Bank Foundation, Southern Bank and Trust company is helping to improve the quality of life in the communities of eastern North Carolina.
