Digital Security Token
Quick Reference Guide
Southern Bank is committed to providing comprehensive online banking with state-of-the-art security. The Digital Security Token is one more way we're working harder to protect your company's financial information.

Digital Security Token Registration
Registering your Digital Security Token is simple. There are two (2) ways to register - via your BOB Preferred 'User Profile' or as part of an ACH, wire transfer or administrative transaction.

Registration via BOB Preferred 'User Profile'
To register your digital security token from you 'User Profile', follow these easy steps:

Step 1: Sign in to BOB Preferred.
Step 2: Click on the 'Customer Service' tab.
Step 3: Click on 'User Profile' within the Customer Service sub-navigation.
Step 4: Scroll down to Token Status at the bottom of the User Profile page and click on 'Register'.
Step 5: Enter your PIN and re-enter your PIN.
Your PIN is a confidential string of numbers that is required in combination with the digital security number when using your token to perform a transaction. When choosing a PIN, please follow these guidelines:

- Your PIN must be between four (4) and eight(8) digits long;
- Spaces, letters and special characters are not allowed.

Step 6: Enter the Serial Number on the back of the digital security token and select 'Register' to complete the registration.

Your digital security token is now registered.

Registration via ACH, wire transfer or administrative transaction
To complete the registration process as part of an ACH or Wire Transfer financial transaction or Administrative transaction, follow these steps:
Step 1: Enter your PIN and re-enter your PIN.
Your PIN is a confidential string of numbers that is required in combination with the digital security number when using your token to perform a transaction. When choosing a PIN, please follow these guidelines:

- Your PIN must be between four (4) and eight (8) digits long;
- Spaces, letters and special characters are not allowed.
Step 2: Enter the Serial Number on the back of the digital security token and select 'Register' to proceed. Your digital security token is now registered.
The initial screen in the registration process will ask you to select and confirm a PIN number and enter specific information displayed on the digital security token. The first time you reach one of these challenge points you will have 10 days to register your digital security token - the registration expiration period will be displayed on this page as a reminder. When the 10 days have expired, you will be required to 'Register' your digital security token before you can proceed with your transaction.

Until then, you are able to proceed with your transaction by selecting 'Register Later' or canceling altogether by selecting the 'Cancel' button.
Using Your Digital Security Token
Once you have registered your digital security token, you will be required to enter your PIN and token security number each time you conduct ACH, wire and administrative transactions. Performing these transactions is simple and more secure. Follow these easy steps:
Step 1: Enter your PIN.
This is the PIN that you selected during the registration process. Reminder: Your PIN is a confidential string of numbers that is required in combination with the digital security number when using your token to perform a transaction. When choosing a PIN, please follow these guidelines:

- Your PIN must be between four (4) and eight (8) digits long;
- Spaces, letters and special characters are not allowed.

Step 2: Enter the Security Number displayed in the digital security token's screen and select 'Submit' to proceed.
When authenticating an ACH, wire and/or administrative transaction via this process, you will be given five(5) attempts to enter the correct information. If you enter the incorrect information five (5) times, you must contact your company's Administrator to "unlock" your digital security token.
