- Down-Payment Assistance is in the form of a Second Mortgage Loan with no monthly payments required and bearing no interest rate. Repayment would be required only in the event that the home was sold at a financial gain prior to the 60th month after the origin of the loan (note date). Each full 12-month period after the origin of the loan will reduce the note amount by 20%, such that at the end of 60 months, no repayment will be required.
