Wins for Kids

A Power Play For Children In Our Communities

A Championship Season. A Power Play for Children in Our Community.

Champions on the Ice. Impact at Home.

The Canes brought the Stanley Cup back to North Carolina, and through Wins for Kids, every regular-season victory helped Southern Bank give back to children and families across our communities.

For every game the Canes won during the 2025-2026 hockey season, Southern Bank donated $500 to the Foundation to support education and health for children — $28,500 total. And with the Canes ending the year as Stanley Cup champions, there’s even more to celebrate.

Being involved in the communities we serve is at the heart of how we do business. Through the Wins for Kids initiative, we were proud to support the Carolina Hurricanes Foundation and the important work it does for children and families across North Carolina.

When the Canes won, kids did, too!

The Partner Our Communities Trust

At Southern, giving back is part of how we grow together. Wins for Kids was one way we had the opportunity to support children and families across our communities. And while the 2025–2026 season has come to a close, our commitment to the communities we call home continues through the local service, guidance, and support we provide every day.
