Southern Bank’s new digital banking experience launches Monday, Oct. 19, 2026, bringing a more modern platform, streamlined access, and enhanced tools for managing your finances.
As we get closer to launch, there are a few important dates and actions to keep in mind. Taking a moment to prepare now can make accessing the new platform easier on day one.
What You Can Do Now
Confirm Your Contact Information
Your current mobile phone number and email address will be important during the transition. Southern Bank may use this information to send updates, verify your identity, and support your access to the new platform.
Personal digital banking users: Log in to your current account, then go to Self Service > Administration > Personal Preferences to review and update your email address and mobile phone number.
Business digital banking users: Log in to your current account, then go to Administration > Self Administration > Personal Preferences to review and update your email address and mobile phone number. Business customers should also confirm that account administrators, authorized users, and their permissions are current.

Mark These Important Dates
Sunday, Oct. 18: Mobile App Unavailable
The current Southern Bank mobile banking app will become unavailable on Sunday, Oct. 18, as we transition to the new platform.
Please complete any banking tasks ahead of this period.
Monday, Oct. 19: New Digital Banking Experience Launches
Beginning Monday, Oct. 19, you can access Southern Bank’s new digital banking experience.
Personal digital banking users will not need to download a new app. Simply update your existing Southern Bank app through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
Business digital banking users should delete their current app and download the new Southern Bank Digital app beginning Oct. 19. The new app will not be available before launch.
What to Expect From the New Experience
The upgraded platform is designed to make account management easier for both personal and business digital banking users on desktop and mobile devices.
Depending on the accounts and services you use, enhancements may include:
- A fresh, modern appearance with improved navigation
- A more consistent experience across online and mobile banking
- Personalized dashboards that prioritize the information most useful to you
- Easier connections to external accounts and transfers
- Credit score access and financial insights
- Improved self-service tools for login, account and preference management
- Stronger authentication, security and fraud-monitoring capabilities
- More connected access to eligible banking, credit card and wealth management information
Business and treasury clients will also benefit from a more streamlined login experience. Treasury users will no longer need to enter a separate company ID, making it easier to access accounts through one digital banking platform. You’ll also gain broader mobile capabilities and enhanced fraud-management tools.
What Will Stay the Same?
Several familiar services will remain available within the new digital banking experience. Bill Pay and Zelle® will continue to be available for business customers. Most customers will not need to recreate their existing Bill Pay setup or payee information.
Some scheduled transactions and alert preferences may need to be re-enabled after launch. Southern Bank will provide more detailed instructions before Oct. 19 based on the services you use.
Stay Alert for Fraud
Periods of change can create opportunities for scammers. Southern Bank will never contact you to request your password, full account credentials, or a one-time security code.
Be cautious of unexpected calls, emails, or text messages asking you to act immediately or follow an unfamiliar link. Access digital banking through the official Southern Bank website or the verified Southern Bank app listing in your device’s app store.
